Education Requirements
As of early 2006, MLS Rules & Regulations is no longer a requirement to maintain MLS Access. However, the class is available new members and sales associates.

Every four years, the National Association of REALTORS® requires all members to complete Code of Ethics training. The next deadline is December 31, 2008.

To find the class and how-to information for completing it, go to: www.realtor.org/mempolweb.nsf/pages/coetraining You can choose the course that's right for you whether you're a residential or commercial practioner.

If you would rather take a live training class, OKCMAR’s Code of Ethics class held on the first and third Thursday of each month. Call the Membership Department at 405-840-1493 to pre-register.

OKCMAR Education Requirements (30 days from joining)
  • MLS Basic Training
  • MLS Rules & Regulations
  • New Member Orientation
  • New Member Code of Ethics

Continuing Education requirements from OREC:

In a 3-year period, non-provisional licensees must complete 21 hours of continuing education. 12 hours must be core/required and taken from the below list. The other 9 hours may be either core or elective classes
  • 3 hours in a Fair Housing class.

  • 3 hours in a Professional Standards class.

  • 3 hours in a Broker Relationships class.

  • 3 hours in a Hot Topics class.
